How's it going??

Hey everybody! Just wanted to do an update post of what's been going on. We had the spring festival last Saturday and it went amazing. We connected with 3 families that had members with Down syndrome and we exchanged information with lots of other agency's and organizations. Overall it was a huge success, we shared our name and information with lots of people and received a lot of potential opportunities. That same Saturday we also had our bake sale/ yard sale, which our committee member Shelia headed and she was able to raise 1200.00!!! So that was a HUGE event and very successful, we plan on making that an annual event for Gigi's Playhouse Gainesville. Speaking of committee members, we have a new one! We will be putting her information up soon.  We are currently working on some other events and projects to fundraise and spread the word, as soon as we have all the details together, I will post all the information so you can get involved! Well that is all for now folks, but as always keep spreading the word and keep coming back!

Fun Times

Gigi's Playhouse centers offer a variety of activities for every age. Typically each center offers about 25 programs. We wanted to share with you what programs may be offered at our Gainesville center. Please see the program tabs to see what we may offer. Once we get to that stage we will select the programs that will be in our center. The kids will sure have a blast!

Hello world!!

Yesterday Gigi's playhouse Gainesville was introduced to the world! Our Facebook page went active, our blog was made public, and our donation site was  put up! We were so excited to be able to officially announce this project that we are so passionate about. We are blown away already at the response that we have received from just yesterday. We got over 200 likes on our Facebook page in not even 24 hours! So thank you for your support thus far. Announcing ourselves to the world is just one step of so many.. but to us it is such a HUGE step! So we hope you stay with us on this journey... it will be an amazing one that's for sure! Keep spreading the word.

Come One, Come all

Gigi's Gainesville has booked our first official informational event! A small event, but an event nonetheless! Our first event to get our name out there, to spread the word, and to hopefully meet some future playhouse kids! So drumroll please........ Our first event will be......

                                    Spring Festival and Agency Fair
                                       Saturday March 1st 2014
                                                                          10am- 1pm
                                                                Lincoln Middle School
                                                                  1001 SE 12th Street 
                                                                      Gainesville, Fl.

Also at this meet will be local agencies and community businesses that provide essential services to families with children who have special needs or developmental delays.

We are so excited to have a booth at this event! Feel free to come by and support us! we would love to see you there. This event is a free community event and light snacks will be provided!
