About Gigi's Playhouse

Gigi's Playhouse is an achievement and awareness center for individuals with Down Syndrome. The center is designed for infants, toddlers, children and young adults. It is a place for people to gather and celebrate their lives with Down Syndrome. Gigi's Playhouse is not bound by groups or membership anyone is welcome. All of the programs offered at the Gigi's centers are free to families and are all therapeutic and educational in nature. Whether working on social skills, motor skills, speech and language, reading, math, computers or just simple peer interaction, it is all purposeful fun. Due to being non- profit Gigi's Playhouse relys on donations and contributions from the community and companies. We also are volunteer based, all of the programs are run by volunteers from the tutoring, the therapies, and the activities. Gigi's Playhouse also offers family support. The programs embrace the families and help aid the development of a healthy relationship between parents, their children with Down Syndrome and the siblings. They encourage parents to share ideas and network with each other. They help parents understand their child's diagnosis and see their child's full potential.

Gigi's Playhouse vision: To see a world where individuals with Down syndrome are accepted and embraced by their families, schools, and communities.

Gigi's Playhouse mission: To increase positive awareness of Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programs, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and the community.
